Wilma Arleene Becker, of Eureka, died on Tuesday, October 5, 2004, at Via Christi – St. Francis Regional Medical Center, in Wichita, Kansas, at the age of 76.
She was born on October 8, 1927, in Fall River, Kansas to Forest Victor and Thresa Cleo (Morris) Ambler. She was raised in the Fall River area and attended Eureka, and Fall River schools. On January 10, 1945, she was united in marriage to Ralph Elwood Becker in Alva, Oklahoma. The family made their home in Eureka. Wilma worked at the Greenwood County Hospital and various nursing homes in Eureka as a Certified Nurse’s Aide until her retirement in 1979.
She is survived by her husband, Ralph; one son, Dale of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; two daughters, Ellen Green of Hutchinson, Kansas; and Terry Elliott of Eureka, Kansas; one brother, Wayne Ambler of Texas; and one sister, Patricia Bartett of Prunedale, California. She was preceded in death by her parents and one sister.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M., Friday, October 8, 2004, at Koup Family Funeral Home, Eureka with Pastor Alan Hunter of the Jefferson Street Baptist Church officiating. Interment will follow in Greenwood Cemetery.
