Virginia Lea Rice

Virginia Lea Rice, 79, of Eureka died June 9, 2003, at the Greenwood County Hospital in Eureka.
She was born September 4, 1923 near Eureka, the daughter of Elmer and Pearl Becker. She was raised in the Eureka area and attended school in Neal and Eureka.
On November 18, 1939, she was united in marriage to Dale Rice in Eureka. She was a paperhanger and painter. In 1972 they moved to Texas, but returned to Eureka in 1996. She was a faithful wife and devoted mother of nine children.
She is survived by four sons, Sonny Rice of Sealy, Texas, Ronnie Rice and Mike Rice, both of Buffalo, Texas, and Raymond Rice of Lipan, Texas; four daughters, Judy McKenzie of Bartlesville, Oklahoma, Darlene Delpine and Sharon Lazzers, both of Eureka, and Carolyn Sanborn of Ketchum, Oklahoma; one brother, Jack Becker of Pendleton, Oregon; two sisters, Helen Martin of Umatilla, Oregon and Ruth Dublin of Blandville, Kentucky, 19 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband Dale, her parents, three children, Donna, Leroy and Martha Town, and one brother, Tobe Becker.
Funeral Services will be held at 2:30 P.M., Tuesday, June 10, 2003 at the Koup Family Funeral Home in Eureka with Pastor Sonny Rice officiating.
