Virginia May Glasco of Eureka, died on Wednesday, February 21, 2018 at the Greenwood County Hospital, in Eureka, at the age of 91.
She was born on August 5, 1926, in Eureka, the daughter of James Harvey and Leta (Wallace) Gray. She was raised in Eureka and graduated from Eureka High School. She met George “Dale” Glasco in Lawrence and they were united in marriage on June 22, 1947. They made their home in Wellington and to this union, two children were born. They ran the Rexall Pharmacy in Wellington for many years until Dale’s retirement. He preceded her in death in 2002 at which time Virginia moved to Eureka to be closer to her sisters.
She was a member of the Wellington United Methodist Church.
She is survived by her son, Mike Glasco of Nevada, Missouri; four grandchildren; and twelve great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; daughter, Dalene Graves; and her siblings, Wallace, Wesley, Robert, Glenn, and Franklyn Gray, Louise Olmstead, Denzell Handley, and Corky Barg.
A memorial service will be held at a later date. Inurnment will take place at Greenwood Cemetery, Eureka.
