Violet Henley 90, died Saturday June 3, 2006, at Greenwood County Hospital.
Violet was born February 13, 1916 at rural Piedmont, Kansas, the daughter of George and Stella (O’Byrne) Snider. She was raised in the Fairview area and attended Fairview School. She moved to Eureka and was employed many years as a beautician and operated her own shop until retirement.
In August 1935, she married Wilbert Henley.
She was a member of the Jefferson Street Baptist Church.
She is survived by two nephews, William Beedles and Savoy Snider and two nieces Penny Schultz and Edyra Henry. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, two brothers Dean and Leo Snider and two sisters, Cleo Beedles and Juanita Long.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, June 8, 2006, at 10:00 A.M. at Koup Family Funeral Home with Pastor Alan Hunter of the Jefferson Street Baptist Church officiating. Interment will follow at Greenwood Cemetery in Eureka.
