Violet Click
Violet Rose Click of Eureka, died on Tuesday, October 29, 2013, at Greenwood County Hospital, in Eureka, at the age of 86.
She was born on December 16, 1926, in Buffalo, Missouri, the daughter of Alva and Rose (Nunn) Duncan. She was raised in Greenwood County and attended grade school in Tonovay, and graduated from Eureka High School. After her schooling, she was a teacher at country schools around Greenwood County. Later she opened a preschool, which she ran for 17 years before retiring.
On July 18, 1947, Violet was united in marriage to Owen Click in Eureka, where they made their home.
Violet was a member of the Christian & Congregational Church of Eureka.
She is survived by her husband, Owen of the home; daughter, Terri Tomison of Wichita; son, Randy Click of Augusta; six grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and four sisters, Dorothy of California; Pauline Hosler of El Dorado; Nancy Maskrid of Wichita; and Linda Sill of Wichita. She was preceded in death by her parents, and one sister.
Memorial services will be held at 2:00 P.M., Friday, November 1, 2013, at Koup Family Funeral Home, in Eureka with Mr. Jayme A. Koup officiating. A private family inurnment will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that memorials be made to the Christian & Congregational Church. Contributions may be sent in care of Koup Family Funeral Home, P.O. Box 595, Eureka, KS 67045, which was in charge of service arrangements.
