Thelma Ketterman, of Rose Hill, died on Friday, November 16, 2007, at Lakepoint Nursing and Rehab Center in Rose Hill, at the age of 100.
She was born on January 28, 1907, in Hartford City, Indiana, the daughter of Frank Bill and Ona Ola (Williams) Hudson. She was raised in Indiana and came to Kansas in the early 1930’s, living in southeast Kansas.
On October 30, 1926, she was united in marriage to Clarence Ray Ketterman in Indiana. He preceded her in death on February 11, 1968.
During World War II she worked for Boeing in Wichita, and later worked at a meat market. She worked for the Greenwood County Hospital during the 1960’s, after the family moved to Eureka. She lived in Eureka until 1976, moving to El Dorado, and finally to Rose Hill.
She was a homemaker, and a member of the Methodist Church.
Thelma is survived by one son, Charles and wife, Nancy Ketterman of Rose Hill; one daughter, Margaret Morgan of Mission Viejo, California; seven grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one brother, and one grandchild.
Graveside services will be held at 10:00 A.M., Tuesday, November 20, 2007, at Janesville Cemetery in Hamilton with Mr. Jayme A. Koup officiating. Koup Family Funeral Home is in charge of service arrangements.
