Shelia Shue
Shelia Jean Shue, of Eureka, died on Monday, October 29, 2012 at Via Christi – St. Francis Hospital in Wichita, at the age of 62.
She was born on January 22, 1950, in Eureka, the daughter of Chester Marion and Nina (Vest) Myers. She was raised in Eureka and Toronto, graduating from Toronto High School. After her schooling she worked at various restaurants, and later worked for Boeing.
In 1973, Shelia was united in marriage to Danny Shue in Newkirk, Oklahoma. The family returned to Toronto and opened the Hilltop Bait and Restaurant and later moved to Eureka and opened the Chuck Wagon Truck Stop in 1991. She retired in 2008.
She is survived by her husband, Dan of the home; daughter, Shannon Shue of Eureka; son, T.J. Shue of Phoenix, Arizona; four step-children, Donna, Robin, Angie, and David; five grandchildren; and three siblings, Debbie Hall of Humboldt; Don Myers of Plattsburg, New York; and Marilyn Griffith of Carbondale. She was preceded in death by her parents, and two brothers, Kenny Myers, and Bill Pickering.
Memorial services will be held at 2:00 P.M., Saturday, November 3, 2012, at Koup Family Funeral Home in Eureka with Pastor Gary Boles of the Moline Community Fellowship officiating. Cremation has been effected.
