Ruth Frances (Busch) McIntosh of Eureka, Kansas, died on Friday, January 7, 2022, at Eureka Nursing Center in Eureka, at the age of 96.
She was born November 22, 1925, in Mehan, Oklahoma, the daughter of Frank L. and Jennie Belle (Barth) Busch. She was raised in that area and attended the local grade school and graduated from Ripley High School. Following graduation, she moved to Wichita where she worked at the North Wichita Flour Mill office for Beech.
On September 22, 1946, Ruth was united in marriage to Murlin “Max” McIntosh in Wichita. They settled in Pond Creek, Oklahoma for a short time, before moving to Texas for a few years where Ruth was a homemaker and stay-at-home mother to their three children. The family then moved to Eureka, Kansas where Ruth was employed as the District Secretary of the Conservation Department in the courthouse; a position she held for 25 years until her retirement. Max preceded her in death on September 14, 2001.
She was a member of the Christian & Congregational Church.
Ruth is survived by her children: Raymond and wife, Diane McIntosh of Pratt, Kansas; and Ramona and husband, Marcus Ploof of Noblesville, Indiana; daughter-in-law, Zandra McIntosh of Wichita, Kansas; and six grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; son, Tom McIntosh; and four siblings: Paul Busch, Jack Busch, Mary Shafford, and Jewell E. Busch.
Cremation has been effected. Per her wishes there will be no service.
