Rose Genevieve Bidding of Eureka, died on Wednesday, October 30, 2013, at Greenwood County Hospital in Eureka, at the age of 91.

She was born on January 4, 1922, in Chanute, the daughter of Daniel Abraham and Mary Ellen (West) McLaughlin. She was raised in Chanute and attended local schools, graduating from Chanute High School. During World War II, she worked as a riveter for Beechcraft in Wichita.
On November 2, 1945, Rose was united in marriage to Charles Leo “Chuck” Bidding in Wichita. They moved around with Chuck’s job for a year before settling in Chanute, where they lived for 48 years. In 1993, they moved to Eureka. Chuck preceded her in death on December 14, 2001.
She is survived by two daughters, Karen Jesseph of Eureka; and Sharon and husband, Steve Heinemann of Eureka; two grandchildren, Randy and wife, Victoria Jesseph; and Ellen Jesseph; two great-grandchildren; and two step-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and siblings.

Memorial services will be held at 2:00 P.M., Monday, November 4, 2013, at Neosho County Memorial Park, in Chanute, with Mr. Jayme A. Koup officiating.

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that memorials be made to Greenwood County Home Health. Contributions may be sent in care of Koup Family Funeral Home, P.O. Box 595, Eureka, KS 67045, which was in charge of service arrangements.
