Rosaline Lou "Rosie" Henderson

Rosaline Lou “Rosie” Henderson, died on February 27, 2014 at her residence in Eureka at the age of 87.

She was born on February 28, 1927 in Quincy, Kansas the daughter of Ross and Anne (Paske) Boone.

She was raised in the Greenwood County area attending local schools. After her schooling she worked at various jobs including Home Bank as a teller, then later as a school bus driver for the Eureka School District. On July 31, 1948 she was united in marriage to Lonnie Henderson in Bentonville, Arkansas. The family lived in Wichita before moving back to Neal in 1954 where Lonnie and Rosie went to farming and ranching.

Rosie taught Sunday school, was a 4-H leader, president of Greenwood County Cattle Women, served on the County Farm Bureau board and was active in the Greenwood County Hospital Auxiliary.

She is survived by her husband Lonnie; and daughter, Rebecca Lindamood; one son Kent Henderson; one brother Thaine Boone and seven grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, and sons, Terry and Marty Henderson; two sisters and two brothers.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 A.M., Saturday, March 8, 2014 at Neal United Methodist Church in Neal, Kansas with Pastor Warren Olson officiating. Interment will follow at Neal Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be to the Eureka Public Library or the Neal United Methodist Church and left in care of the funeral home at P.O. Box 595, Eureka, Kansas 67045.
