Ronald Dean Hall of Eureka, passed away peacefully on July 13, 2023, at Greenwood County Hospital, in Eureka, at the age of 87.
He was born on April 17, 1936, in Wichita, Kansas, the son of John Bright Hall and Donna Delores Bond. He grew up and lived in rural Greenwood County before moving to Garden Plain, Kansas for 17 years where he was a rancher.
On July 6, 1956, he married his sweetheart, Vivetta June Wade. To this union, four children were born, three daughters: Debbie, Marilyn, and Rhonda; and one son, John. He moved back to Eureka, to start his career in the Thoroughbred racing industry. That career took him to several states and cities. All his life he was either on a horse or walking beside a horse.
He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Vivetta Hall of the home; their children: Debbie and husband, Jerry Haukap of Garden Plain; Marilyn and husband, Jon Lippelmann of Crystal Beach, Texas; Rhonda and husband, Jeff Scott of Eureka; and John and wife, Angie Hall of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; twelve grandchildren; sixteen great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, and cousins; one aunt, and other extended family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents: John Hall and Donna (Bond) Moylan.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 10:00 A.M., Monday, July 24, 2023, at Piedmont Cemetery, Piedmont, Kansas. Cremation has been effected.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to the Greenwood County Hospital Foundation or to the Piedmont Cemetery.
