Robert “Bob” E. Richardson of Eureka, Kansas died on Friday, October 26, 2007 at his residence in Eureka at the age of 84.
He was born on June 8, 1923 in Dallas,Texas, the son of Isaac and Irene (McWilliams) Richardson. He was raised in Oklahoma and graduated from high school there. After his schooling he joined the United States Army during WWII and served his country with honor and dignity. On August 20, 1946 Robert married Maradell Turner in Altus, Oklahoma. The family moved from the Wichita area to Hamilton in 1975. Bob went to work for the post office in Eureka until his retirement in 1988.
He was a member of the Primitive Baptist Church and VFW Post #2712 and the Old Time Fiddlers and Pickers.
He is survived by his wife Maradell; son, Robert David Richardson of Danville, California; daughters, Connie Marsh of Peru, Indiana and Cindy Pelky of Hamilton, Kansas; four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; sisters, Thelma Lowe of Oklahoma and Vera Walch of Eagle Point, Oregon. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 A.M., on Tuesday, October 30, 2007 at Koup Family Funeral Home with Connie Marsh officiating. Private family inurnment will be at a later date.
