Robert Allen McLean of Eureka, died on Saturday, May 26, 2018, at Wesley Medical Center, in Wichita, at the age of 89.
He was born on August 8, 1928, in Ponca City, Oklahoma, the son of Roy Perry and Gloria Mae (Bailey) McLean. He was raised in Severy and graduated from local schools. In 1948, Robert was united in marriage to Margaret Fern Hurt in Eureka. To this union, two children were born. They made their home in Kansas City, and later Olathe. Robert worked as a meat cutter for the Atlantic & Pacific Tea Company, and later Mission United Super grocers. They retired to Eureka.
Robert was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Eureka.
He is survived by his wife, Margaret of the home; one son, Kenneth Allen McLean of Lincoln, Nebraska; one grandson; and two great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Douglas Eugene McLean; and sister, Gwendolyn Mae Jarrett.
Memorial services will be held at 11:00 A.M., Wednesday, May 30, 2018 at the First United Methodist Church in Eureka with Reverend Kenneth Baker officiating. Cremation has been effected. Inurnment will take place at a later date at Greenwood Cemetery, Eureka, Kansas.
