Robert Patrick “Robbie” Inge, a lifetime resident of Eureka, passed away Tuesday, August 2, 2022, at his home in Eureka, at the age of 40.

He was born February 23, 1982, to Patricia Inge Soule and Robert C. Martin, III. He attended Eureka Public Schools, from 1st grade through his senior year, graduating as a proud Tornado, Class of 2001. During his Junior and Senior years, Robbie was able to participate in an “At School to Work Program” where he was employed at Bill’s Dollar Store and Alco. It was this program that taught him the skills to later purchase and operate his own successful business. Robbie loved helping people, and visiting, especially with the elderly. After school hours, he worked at Lo-Mar, continuing to serve the public. As a senior in high school, he purchased his first home with money saved from these employments.

Upon graduation from high school at 19 years of age, Robbie followed his dream and purchased Lo-Mar Drive-In, a business that thrived for 10 years under his management. This was his pride and joy. Sadly, this came to an end in 2011, due to disabilities. Robbie had a love and passion for gardening in his spare time. He was able to make anything grow under his natural green thumb. He was also a big Jayhawk fan. He was a beautiful soul with a huge heart.

Robbie is survived by his mother, Patricia Inge Soule and husband, Richard of Eureka; aunt, Gigi Bebus and husband, Jon of Nixa, Missouri; uncle, Bill Inge of Esko, Minnesota; and many others on his father’s side. He was preceded in death by his dear grandmother, Shirley Beeman; and grandfather, William Inge, and others on his father’s side. It is a comfort to know he and Shirley are rejoicing together once again.

Cremation has been effected. Private family inurnment will take place at Greenwood Cemetery in Eureka at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to the Kansas Humane Society, in honor of his love of animals; or to the Eureka Garden Club for his passion for gardening and his mother’s longtime membership. Contributions may be sent in care of Koup Family Funeral Home, PO Box 595, Eureka KS 67045, which is overseeing arrangements. Condolences may be left for the family online at koupfunerals.com.
