Pauline Elizabeth “Polly” Vines, of Eureka, died on August 3, 2005 at her home in Eureka, at the age of 59.
She was born on August 31, 1945, in Montgomery, Alabama, the daughter of Virgil and Edna (Pittman) Gandy. She was raised in Lakeland, Florida, and graduated from local schools. She sold real estate in Lakeland for many years. While in Lakeland, she was united in marriage to Charles Vines, with whom she had two children. This marriage later ended in divorce.
Later she moved to Fall River, Kansas where she began working at Gran Villas in Eureka, eventually becoming administrator. She later moved to Eureka. On December 22, 2004, she was united in marriage to Jack “Ranger” Kerr, in Eureka. He preceded her in death on May 5, 2005.
She was a member of the Willow Oak Baptist Church, of Willow Oak, Florida.
She is survived by her mother, Edna Gandy of Lakeland, Florida; two sons, Stephen Ross Vines of Lakeland, Florida; and Dwayne Charles Vines of Lakeland, Florida; one brother, Charles Gandy of Lakeland, Florida; and two grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her father, husband, and one brother, Terry.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 A.M., Tuesday, August 9, 2005, at Koup Family Funeral Home, Eureka with Pastor Mark Demas of the Virgil United Methodist Church officiating. Interment will follow in Greenwood Cemetery.
