Paul H. Scott, Jr.
Paul H. Scott, Jr., of Eureka, died on Sunday, February 1, 2015, at the Kansas Veterans Home in Winfield, at the age of 76.
He was born on August 31, 1938, in Eureka, the son of Paul H. and Catherine H. (Vollmer) Scott, Sr. After graduating from Eureka High School in 1956, and being in the Kansas National Guard, he enlisted in the United States Marine Corp, serving proudly with honor and dignity. While serving in the Marine Corp he performed cryptography and eventually had a clearance level second only to the President. Upon his discharge, he attended college, worked in the oil field, and many years at Cessna Aircraft in Wichita, and after several years, retired from the Greenwood County Weed Department.
He is survived by his brother, Richard Scott and Betty Decou of Wichita. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Funeral mass will be held at 11:00 A.M., Friday, February 6, 2015 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Eureka with Fr. Steve Gronert officiating. Interment will follow at Greenwood Cemetery.
