Patty Sue (Poe) Brown-Wright of Eureka, died on Tuesday, January 22, 2019 at Greenwood County Hospital, in Eureka, at the age of 78.

She was born on March 7, 1940, in El Dorado, Kansas, the daughter of Roy Thomas and Nellie M. (Page) Poe. She was raised in El Dorado and graduated from local schools. In 1958, Patty was united in marriage to Lawrence Dwight “LD” Brown in El Dorado. To this union, four children were born. They made their home in El Dorado and later Leon. They retired to rural Eureka. This marriage later ended in divorce. Patty later moved into the city of Eureka.

On June 4, 1994, Patty was united in marriage to Stephen “Kelly” Wright in Eureka. Kelly preceded her in death on March 6, 2003.

She is survived by her children, Larry D. Brown of Rosalia, Kansas; Stacey Lynn Brown of Goddard, Kansas; and Michael DeWayne Brown of Bristow, Virginia; three step-children, Nicholas Wright of Emporia, Kansas; James Robert Wright of Emporia; and Sarah Dawn Marie McDonald of Athens, Texas; seven grandchildren: Chris and wife, Tiffany Brown of El Dorado; Brandon Brown of El Dorado; Levi Brown of Rosalia; Derek and wife, Jessica Brown of Oklahoma; Lindsey and husband, Mark Trotter of Oklahoma; Sarah Brown of Pennsylvania; and Emma Brown of Pennsylvania; three great-grandchildren, Tabitha Taylor, Jaycee Brown, Jenna Brown; four step-great-grandchildren, John Kreusel; Matt and wife, Dani Kreusel; Ron Kreusel; Patricia Kreusel; two great-great-grandchildren, Jaden and Ezekiel; brothers, Tom Poe of Wichita; and Terry and wife, Brenda Poe of Mulvane; and her faithful schnauzer, Alex. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; one son, Clifford Milton Brown; and one grandson, Jeremy Dean Forrest Brown.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 A.M., Friday, January 25, 2019 at the First Baptist Church in Eureka with Pastor Dan Buck officiating. Interment will follow at Greenwood Cemetery, Eureka. Visitation hours are set from 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M., Thursday, at the funeral home.
