Opal Pauline Ebberts of Towanda, formerly of Fall River, died on November 3, 2010, at Harry Hynes Memorial Hospice at St. Francis – Via Christi Regional Medical Center in Wichita, at the age of 89.
Pauline was born on July 28, 1921, in Fall River, the daughter of Edward L. and Alice (Mundy) Prichard. She was raised in the Fall River area and attended local schools. On October 19, 1940 she was united in marriage to Gene W. Ebberts in Eureka. She lived most of her life in the Greenwood County area.
Pauline was a member of the Severy Nazarene Church.
She is survived by three children, Ronald C. Ebberts of Towanda; Howard L. Ebberts of North Little Rock, Arkansas; and Paula J. French of El Dorado; sixteen grandchildren; twenty-four great-grandchildren; eight great-great-grandchildren; one brother, Glen Prichard of Long Beach, California; and one sister, Marjorie Snyder of Grenada Hill, California. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, son, Larry G. Ebberts, four brothers, and two sisters.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 A.M., Monday, November 8, 2010 at the Severy Nazarene Church with Pastor Dave Warren and Larry Schmidt officiating. Interment will follow at South Lawn Cemetery, in Severy.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that memorials be made to Harry Hynes Memorial Hospice. Contributions may be sent in care of Koup Family Funeral Home at P.O. Box 595, Eureka, KS 67045, which was in charge of service arrangements.
