Nina Louise Anderson, of Eureka, died at Susan B. Allen Memorial Hospital in El Dorado on Monday, February 13, 2006, at the age of 85.
She was born in the Spring Creek area of Greenwood County, Kansas on May 16, 1920, the daughter of Carl and Dovie Dale (Cook) Olson. She was raised in the Spring Creek area and attended rural schools.
On July 10, 1952, Nina married Leslie Dee Baker in Bentonville, Arkansas. The couple was divorced in 1972. On May 8, 1979, Nina married Dale Anderson in Eureka. He preceded her in death on July 9, 1985.
She is survived by one son, Leslie “Alan” Baker, and wife, Vicki, of Bentonville, Arkansas; six grandchildren; and one niece, Janet Frey of El Dorado, Kansas. She was preceded in death by her parents, five brothers, and two sisters.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 A.M., Thursday, February 16, 2006, at the Jefferson Street Baptist Church in Eureka, with Pastor Alan Hunter officiating. Interment will follow in Greenwood Cemetery.
A memorial has been established in her name to Lakepoint Nursing Home of El Dorado. Contributions may be sent in care of Koup Family Funeral Home, P.O. Box 595, Eureka, Kansas, which was in charge of service arrangements.
