Neoma Bernice Clark, of Eureka, died on March 6, 2004, at Medicalodge of Eureka, at the age of 88.

She was born on March 1, 1916, in Grenola, Kansas, the daughter of Scott and Mary (Arbuckle) Moore. She was raised in Grenola and attended Grenola schools.

On July 8, 1933, she was united in marriage to Lewis Clark in Howard, Kansas. They lived in Grenola until 1947, when they gave up farming and moved to Howard. They bought four washing machines and put in a laundry on the back porch. Neoma wanted to do this so she would be there when her children came home from school. In 1957, Lewis and Neoma sold the laundry and moved the two children still living at home to Eureka, Kansas. Neoma then went to work as a CNA at the Lyndon and Medicalodge nursing homes. She loved the many people she took care of.

She was a member of the Grenola Christian Church.

She is survived by two sons; Robert L. Clark of Wichita and Larry D. Clark of Arkansas City, one daughter; Elizabeth Ann Murphy of Towanda; one daughter- in-law Dorothy Clark of Horton; eleven grandchildren and eighteen great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, son, Lewis E. Clark, three brothers and two sisters.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 A.M., Thursday, March 11, 2004, at Koup Family Funeral Home, with Mr. Jack Perrigo of the Grenola Christian Church officiating. Interment will follow at 2:00 P.M. in the Grenola Cemetery.

A memorial has been established in her name to the Grenola Christian Church. Contributions may be sent in care of the funeral home at P.O. Box 595, Eureka, Kansas 67045.
