Natalie Anne Bumgardner of Eureka, died on Sunday, November 19, 2023, at her home, in Eureka, at the age of 49.
She was born on February 23, 1974, in Iola, Kansas, the daughter of Ross and Sharon (Wood) Thornbrugh. She was raised in Toronto and graduated from Eureka Junior Senior High School. On May 23, 1997, Natalie was united in marriage to Billy Bumgardner in Eureka. To this union, two daughters were born. This marriage later ended in divorce in 2006.
Natalie was a CNA and worked in nursing. She was a devoted mother and grandmother and an animal lover. She was a fun-loving person who enjoyed sunsets and anything magical, especially caramel popcorn.
She is survived by her daughters, Kayla and husband, Tate McCoy of Eureka; and Ericka Bumgardner and husband, Chris Guy of Eureka; four grandchildren: Laykn McCoy, Elena McCoy, Rowen McCoy, and Maverick Guy; father, Ross, Sr. and wife, Gail Thornbrugh of Yates Center, Kansas; mother, Sharon Wood of Odessa, Texas; and three siblings: Ross Thornbrugh, Jr. of Odessa, Texas; Jason Thornbrugh of Dodge City, Kansas; and Jamie DeVille of Wakefield, Kansas.
Memorial services will be held at a later date. Cremation has been effected. Koup Family Funeral Home is overseeing arrangements. Condolences may be left for the family online, at koupfunerals.com.
