Narressia R. Osborn, of Eureka, died at her residence on Wednesday, August 9, 2006, at the age of 77.
She was born in Seminole, Oklahoma on April 18, 1929, the daughter of Floyd and Lorene Steen. Narressia was raised in Seminole and attended local schools.
On July 17, 1948, she was united in marriage to Charles S. (Chuck) Osborn in Eunice, New Mexico. They made their home in Okmulgee, Oklahoma until 1951, when they moved to Eureka. Narressia was employed at Greenwood County Hospital for 27 years, and served as office manager for 15 years before her retirement. Her husband Chuck preceded her in death on December 18, 2001.
She is survived by one son, Charles W. (Chuck) Osborn of Lawrence, Kansas, three grandchildren, Indy Osborn, Jessie Osborn, and Matthew Osborn, three step-grandchildren, Nikie (Scates) Walker, Sara Fonseca, and James Patterson, and one aunt, Molly Craft of Seminole, Oklahoma. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and one son, Robert D. (Rob) Osborn.
Graveside services and interment will be held in Greenwood Cemetery on Friday, August 11, 2006, at 10:00 A.M.
A memorial has been established in her name to the Greenwood County Hospice. Contributions may be sent in care of Koup Family Funeral Home, P.O. Box 595, Eureka, Kansas 67045 which was in charge of service arrangements.
