Nadine Margarette Gray, of El Dorado, died at Medicalodge of Eureka on March 25, 2007, at the age of 87.
She was born on April 21, 1919, in Rosalia, Kansas, the daughter of Floyd A. and Agnes (Cornet) Sprecher. Nadine was raised in Rosalia and graduated from Rosalia High School. She then attended Butler County Community College.
On October 30, 1942, she was united in marriage to Frank E. Gray. They made their home in Butler County where Nadine was a homemaker and worked at the El Dorado Sale Barn in the 1970’s and 1980’s. Frank preceded her in death in 1999.
She loved living on the farm and taking care of her cats, and spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was a member of the Rosalia Christian Church.
Nadine is survived by one daughter, Paula Drake of Haysville, five grandchildren, Racheal Besson, Thomas A. Thomas, Michael Thomas, Ericka Thomas, and Amanda Cortez, and four great-grandchildren, Chelsea, Skylar, Fiona, and Kassidy. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and one sister, Kay Hiatt.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 A.M., Thursday, March 29, 2007, at Koup Family Funeral Home, with Pastor Edwin Gray of Augusta officiating. Interment will follow in Blankinship Cemetery at Rosalia.
