Myrtle Ida Wheeler, of Eureka, died on Wednesday, October 17, 2007, at Medicalodge in Eureka, at the age of 79.
She was born on February 5, 1928, in Eureka, the daughter of Michael and Anna Bohard. She was raised in the Eureka area and graduated from Tonovay High School with the class of 1948.
On March 28, 1950, Myrtle was united in marriage to Warren Wheeler at Christ Lutheran Church in Eureka, where they made their home. She worked at Pearl Shivers many cafés and restaurants in the kitchen, until her retirement.
Myrtle was a member of the Rebekahs and Christ Lutheran Church.
She is survived by her husband, Warren; many nieces and nephews; and one sister, Frances Lamb of Moses Lake, Washington. She is preceded in death by her parents, and one half-sister.
Memorial services will be held at 2:00 P.M., Monday, October 22, 2007 at Christ Lutheran Church in Eureka with Pastor Earl Wall officiating. Cremation has been effected. A private family inurnment will take place at a later date.
