Mildred May (Mock) Smith, 87, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Sunday, October 8, 2006 in Wichita, Kansas.
She was born on May 1, 1919 in rural Eureka, Kansas the daughter of Robert W. and Elizabeth (Griffith) Mock. She attended public schools in the Farmview and Farmington communities and graduated from Eureka High School with the class of 1939.
On January 14, 1946 she married Roy W. Smith in Eureka, Kansas. She was a homemaker and attended the First Church of God in Eureka, and later attended the Eureka Christian Center where her husband pastored for several years. She was a lifetime resident of Greenwood County.
She is survived by two daughters, Sharon Gepner of Norman, Oklahoma and Karolyn Miller of El Dorado, Kansas; and son, Kenneth Smith of Citrus Heights, California; nine grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, son Jerry Lee, sister Virgie Norman, and brother Vernon Mock.
Funeral services will be 11:00 A.M., Thursday, October 12, 2006 at Koup Family Funeral Home with Pastor Jerry Clark officiating. Interment will follow at Greenwood Cemetery.
