Michael Lynn Mefford, 25, of Eureka, died Friday, November 1, 2013, at his home.
He was born August 8, 1988, the son of Belinda Requena and John Andrew Mefford in Arizona.
He attended Eureka Junior Senior High School and graduated with the Class of 2006.
He loved spending time with his family.
He is survived by his mother Belinda Requena of Eureka; fiancé Patsy Elizabeth Frazier; children Krystiana, Isaiah and Sarah; two sisters, Emily and Amber; three brothers, Adam, Gabriel and Aaron, all of Eureka; grandmother Elsa Mefford of El Dorado; and several cousins, nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father; grandparents, Margarette and Jo Requena and Odvia Mefford.
A viewing will be held Wednesday, November 6, from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., at Koup Family Funeral Home, in Eureka. Memorial service will be held Sunday, November 10, at Christian Hills Camp, in Eureka, at 2 p.m.
Memorials may be made to the Michael L. Mefford Fund or Children’s Mercy Hospital. Contributions may be sent in care of Koup Family Funeral Home, P.O. Box 595, Eureka, KS 67045, which was in charge of service arrangements.
