Michael Bonaventure “Mikie” Colonnese, of Eureka, died Monday, June 11, 2007, near Hamilton, at the age of 25.
He was born on April 14, 1982, the son of Adrian Phillip and Hope Marie (Davenport) Colonnese. He was raised in South Hannibal, New York, and attended local schools. In 1995, the family moved to Eureka. He was heavily involved in football, basketball, and drama. Mikie graduated from Eureka High School with the class of 2001. Since then he has worked for Hurricane Well and Truck Service.
On September 16, 2006, he was united in marriage to Ashley Rau in Eureka. They made their home in Eureka.
Mikie is survived by his wife, Ashley of the home; one daughter, Serenity Reahann of the home; mother, Hope and stepfather, Ronnie L. Barrows of Eureka; father, Adrian and step-mother Jesse Colonnese of Dalhart, Texas; one brother, Adrian Joseph “Joe” Colonnese of Sedalia, Missouri; four sisters, Tina Harvey, Shannon Colonnese, and Heather Colonnese of New York State; and Clara Colonnese of Dalhart, Texas; six stepbrothers, Nathan, Richard, Peter, Tie, Jesse, and Loren; three step-sisters, Loretta, Mable, and JJ; grandmother, Helen Colonnese of Cato, New York; and many aunts, and uncles including one great-aunt, Violet Williams of Eureka, Kansas.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 A.M., Saturday, June 16, 2007 at Koup Family Funeral Home, in Eureka with Pastor Larry Evans of the Neal Evangelical Free Church officiating. Interment will follow in Greenwood Cemetery. A visitation will be held from 6 – 8 P.M., Friday, at the funeral home.
