Matthew Caleb Barg of Climax, died on July 3, 2019 in a car accident on US-400 near Leon, at the age of 19.
He was born on January 7, 2000, in Anchorage, Alaska, the son of Jesse and Betty Barg. He was a high school graduate. He worked alongside his father serving customers’ cleaning needs, in the family business.
On March 9, 2019, he was united in marriage to Faith Renea Carty. They began to make a home together in Climax. The last four months of his life were his happiest.
Matthew genuinely loved all those he was around; he had a deep desire to protect those that could not protect themselves. He had an amazing ability to identify the truth in any given situation. He always strove to conduct himself honorably as a son, as an employee, and especially as a husband and soon to be father. He would want all to know that the Lord was his God and that He is a good God. For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: not of works, lest any man should boast.
He is survived by his wife, Faith of Climax; their child awaiting birth; his parents, Jesse & Betty Barg of Climax; and eighteen siblings.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M., Saturday, July 6, at Koup Family Funeral Home in Eureka. Interment will follow at Greenwood Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that memorial contributions to benefit Matthew & Faith’s child be made payable to Faith Barg.
