Mary Jane Gibson

Mary Jane Gibson, of Severy, died on Wednesday, October 6, 2004, at Medicalodge in Eureka, at the age of 80.
She was born on December 17, 1923, in Moline, Kansas, the daughter of Fred and Myrtle (Atkinson) Coble. She was raised in Severy and attended local schools. On November 2, 1943, Mary Jane was united in marriage to Jerry Gibson in Ottawa, Kansas. They made their home in the Severy area where they began farming.
She was a member of EHU, and the Cosmos Club.
She is survived by one son, Carl Gibson of Fredonia; two daughters, Janice Bills of Howard; and Joyce Hunter of Eureka; eight grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. Mary Jane was preceded in death by her parents, and husband.
Graveside services will be held at 2:00 P.M., Saturday, October 9, 2004, at South Lawn Cemetery, in Severy with Pastor Roger Dennis of Christ Lutheran Church officiating.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to the Severy Senior Center or the Greenwood County Hospice.
