Mary Louise (Coon) Bane, of Eureka, died on October 11, 2011 at Greenwood County Hospital at the age of 92.
She was born on July 28, 1919 in Eureka, Kansas the daughter of Earl and Ema Mae (Sallyard) Coon. Mary was raised in the Eureka area and attended local schools. After her schooling Mary worked at bakery for several years.
On July 4, 1949 she was united in marriage to Dayrel W. Bane in Eureka, where they made their home. Mary became a homemaker and mother.
She is survived by her husband, Dayrel of the home; daughters, Teresa and husband, Alan McCoy of Eureka; and Shirley and husband, Lee James of McPherson; two grandchildren, Josh James of Mora, Minnesota; and Amy and husband
Tate Ricker of Scott City; four great-grandchildren, Wyatt and Waylon Ricker of Scott City; and William Herrera and Kiyanna James of Olathe; and sister, Dorothy Criss of Eureka. She was preceded in death by her parents, and three brothers.
Funeral services will be held 10:00 A.M., Friday, October 14, 2011 at Koup Family Funeral Home, in Eureka with Jayme A. Koup officiating. Interment will follow at Greenwood Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that memorials be made to the Nursing Staff of Greenwood County Hospital. Contributions may be sent in care of Koup Family Funeral Home at P.O. Box 595, Eureka, KS 67045, which was in charge of service arrangements.
