Martha Elizabeth Mckenzie
August 10, 1914 — March 18, 2005
Elizabeth Boone McKenzie, of Eureka, died on March 18, 2005 at Holiday Resort in Emporia, Kansas at the age of 90.
She was born on August 10, 1914, in rural Neal, Kansas, the daughter of Vernon and Cessina (Stringham) Boone. She was raised in Neal and graduated from Neal High School with the class of 1931.
On January 13, 1933 she was united in marriage to Arthur McKenzie in El Dorado, Kansas. She was a lifetime homemaker, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.
She was a member of the Neal United Methodist Church.
She is survived by one son Robert (Bob) McKenzie of Virgil; two daughters, Margaret (Scooter) Lilley of Albuquerque, New Mexico and Shirley (Sis) Gulick of Olpe, Kansas; 15 grandchildren, 37 great-grandchildren and 6 great-great grandchildren; one sister Alice Marie Casey; one brother Myron Boone. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, son Gale and grandson David Lilley.
Funeral services were held at 10:00 A.M., Tuesday, March 22, 2005 at Koup Family Funeral Home with Tracy McKenzie officiating. Interment will be at Neal Cemetery.
