Marian Harlan
Marian Harlan, 94, of Eureka, passed away on December 22, 2014, at the Hillside Skilled Nursing Home in De Soto, Kansas.
Marian was born on November 6, 1920 in Towanda, Kansas the daughter of John and Bessie (Brush) Cassin. At an early age, she moved to Eureka where she spent the rest of her life. She was a member of the Christ Lutheran Church, Women’s Business Club and the Garden Club. Marian volunteered at the Eureka Greenwood County Hospital. She retired after working many years at the City Water Office. Marian will be sorely missed but not forgotten by her family and friends.
She is survived by her two twin daughters, Jane Broddle of Houston, Texas and Jean Ashlock of Springfield, Missouri, and two son-in-laws, Bill Broddle and Tom Ashlock. Five grandchildren, Christi, Shawn, Nicholas, Adam and Perry; and five great-grandchildren, Reed, Mikayla, Hank, Harris and Jackson. She was preceded in death by her parents and one grandson Spencer.
Funeral services were held at 2:00 P.M., Monday, December 29, 2014 at Koup Family Funeral Home with Father Steve Gronert officiating
