Loyette Colleen Clark of Eureka, died on Thursday, December 19, 2013 at the Eureka Nursing Center at the age of 84.

She was born on March 7, 1929, in Elk City, the daughter of Vernon and Geraldine (Garst) Koger. She was raised in the Elk City area and attended local schools. After her schooling, she worked for Halsey Department Store in Independence, Kansas. On March 9, 1947, Loyette was united in marriage to Jesse Virgil Clark in Coffeyville.

The family lived in many different places including Englewood, Colorado where Jesse worked as a baker for 30 years. In Colorado, she worked at Hampton Drug Store in Denver for four years, and later a distribution center in Denver for several years. The family eventually returned to Fredonia where Jesse opened his own bakery in 1980. They retired in 1993 and lived in Fredonia until 2003 when they moved to Eureka to be closer to family.

She is survived by three daughters, Terry L. Jones and husband Edward of Independence; Collette A. Kellar and husband Ron of Bailey, Colorado; and Sonja G. Kennedy and husband Mark of Eureka; two grandchildren; and one brother, Jimmy Koger of Oberlin. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband.

A private family memorial service will be held at Greenwood Cemetery, in Eureka.
