Carmen Lilley, of Eureka, died on February 26, 2012 at the Eureka Nursing Center in Eureka at the age of 69.
Carmen was born on January 13, 1943 the daughter of Delbert and Helen (Cummings) Wygle. She grew up in Climax and attended local schools. Carmen graduated from Eureka High school and later attended Emporia State College. Carmen got her degree in Business Education and later worked as a substitute teacher. Later she became a homemaker.
In June 1977 she was united in marriage to Stanley Lilley in Yates Center. They made their home in Piedmont. He preceded her in death on June 18, 2008.
She was a member of the First United Methodist Church.
Carmen is survived by her son, Roger Lowe; five grandchildren and one great-grandchild; brother, Richard Wygle of New Braunfels, Texas and sister, Norma Ervin of Severy. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 A.M., Wednesday, February 29, 2012 at Koup Family Funeral Home with Mr. Jayme Koup officiating. Interment will follow at Greenwood Cemetery.
A memorial has been established in her name to the Eureka Nursing Center Activity Fund and may be left in care of the funeral at P.O. Box 595, Eureka, Kansas 67045.
