Lewis Calvert Long of Hamilton Ks. went to be with his Lord and Savior, and his beloved wife Carol on August 16, 2008.
Lewis was born to Mary Calvert Long and Archie A. Long. on December 14, 1920. Lewis lived in Greenwood County most of his life with the exception of overseas duty in WWII. He and Carol Maclaskey were married more than 67 years. Carol passed October 15, 2007.
Lewis is survived by two daughters and one son; Vicky Long Carson of Olathe, Ks. Sharron Long Kane of Joplin, Mo. Thomas A. Long of Hamilton, Ks. Mr. Long has 10 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren, Lewis and Tom are owners of Long Drilling Company.
Visitation will be at Koup family Funeral Home, Eureka, Ks. Wednesday August 20, 2008, 6:00 – 8:00 P.M. Services will be held Thursday, August 21st, 2008 at Lamont Wesleyan Church in Lamont, Kansas. Interment will follow at Janesville Cemetery, in Hamilton.
