Leroy Cohen, Jr., of Virgil, died on October 27, 2012 at Via-Christi St. Francis Hospital in Wichita at the age of 54.
Leroy was born on July 16, 1958, in DeLand, Florida, the son of Leroy, Sr. and Dorothy (Goodwin) Cohen. He was raised in Enterprise, Florida and attended local schools. After his schooling Leroy was a heavy equipment operator in construction. On June 3, 1978 he was united in marriage to Kim Emanuel in Enterprise, Florida. They lived in Florida until 2007 when they relocated to the Virgil area. After moving to Virgil, Leroy worked as a carpenter.
Leroy is survived by his wife, Kim of the home; sons, Leroy Cohen, III of Enterprise, Florida; Adam Cohen of Enterprise, Florida; and Daniel Cohen of Quincy; daughter, Jessi Hall of Enterprise, Florida; mother, Dorothy Cohen of Enterprise, Florida; brother, William Cohen of Quincy; and sisters, Trisha Hadlock of Toronto; and Janie Dease of Osteen, Florida. He was preceded in death by his father.
Memorial services will be held at 11:00 A.M., Saturday, November 3, 2012 at the Cowboy Church in Toronto, Kansas on Hwy 105 with Pastor Jon Petty officiating. Koup Family Funeral Home is in charge of service arrangements.
