Lelia M. Whipple, 90, Eureka, passed away Wednesday July 21, 2004, at Newman Regional Health in Emporia.
She was born July 17, 1914, in Salem Township, Greenwood County, to Harry and Myrtle Bobbitt. She resided in Eureka many years and currently was living at the Gran Villas in Eureka. She married Gerald Whipple in 1934. He died December 19, 1983. She was preceded in death by her parents and three brothers, Bill, Harry Jr., & Harold Bobbitt.
Survivors include one daughter, Geraldine Berry & husband Roy of Topeka; two grandsons, David Berry & wife Barbara of Berryton, and Mark Berry & wife Linda of Berryton; six great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; one sister, Dorothy Briar of Wichita; and two brothers, Robert Bobbitt and wife Dorothy of Wichita, and Don Bobbitt & wife Alice of Wichita.
Services will be 11:00 A.M., Monday, July 26, 2004, at Koup Family Funeral Home in Eureka. Burial will be at Greenwood Cemetery, Eureka.
