Lela Ruth Gleason, of Eureka, died at the Eureka Nursing center on Friday, December 30, 2016, at the age of 79.
She was born on July 23, 1937, the daughter of Homer and Murial (Warnken) Wolcott. She was raised in Kansas, and graduated from Altamont High School. Lela was married to Henry Cook and then to Joe Gleason. She was a Homemaker all her adult life.
She is survived by one daughter, Bonnie Ashlock of Quincy, three grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, two sisters, Pearl Purdy of Gridley and Bernice Hanes of Oklahoma, and one brother Bill Wolcott of Emporia. She was preceded in death by her husbands, parents, two sons Chuck Knight and Paul Grubb, and one brother, John Wolcott.
Memorial services will be held at 10:00 A.M., Friday, January 6, 2017 at the Cowboy Church and the Arena of Life, Toronto, Kansas with Pastor Jon Petty officiating. Cremation has been effected.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that memorials be made to the Cowboy Church and Arena of Life of Toronto. Contributions may be sent in care of Koup Family Funeral Home, P.O.
