Lee R. Nowell of Hamilton, died on June 29, 2014 at his residence in Hamilton at the age of 63.
He was born on July 7, 1950, in Holden, Missouri the son of Roy Oscar and Hazel (Crabtree) Nowell. Lee grew up in Holden and attended local schools. After his schooling he worked as machinist, carpenter and house painter. In the 1980’s he moved to Hamilton, Kansas and worked as a handy man around Hamilton.
He is survived by his sons, Brian Nowell of Hamilton, and Jeff Nowell of Fredonia; daughter, Lee Ann Covey of Richmond and a sister Connie Linder of Lee’s Summit, Missouri; eleven grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and wife, Carol Selby and daughter Shelly Riddle; two sisters, Donna Nowell and Darlene Nowell; two brothers, Billy Nowell and Eddie Nowell.
Memorial services will be held on 2:00 P.M., July 20, 2014 at United Methodist Church in Hamilton, Kansas.
