Kathryn Rose “Kathy” Bedigrew of Toronto, departed this life on Tuesday, February 1, 2022, at her home in Toronto, due to complications from COVID-19, at the age of 60.
She was born on May 28, 1961, in Yates Center, Kansas, the sixth child of Floyd Lester and Gladys Helen (Kasper) Bedigrew. She graduated from Eureka High School with the Class of 1979. Kathy lived all her life in the Toronto community. She was a seamstress by trade but later in life worked at Tramec Sloan in Iola. Kathy enjoyed reading, gardening, and at an earlier age, bowling. She greatly cherished her pets, and deeply loved her numerous nephews and nieces.
She leaves to mourn her passing four sisters and three brothers: JoAnn Groth of Fredonia; James and wife, Laurinda Bedigrew of Carbondale; Marvin Bedigrew of Goddard; Linda and husband, Chris Haag of Hartford; Orlene and husband, Joe Greenwood of Olathe; Floyd G. Bedigrew of Toronto; and Helen and husband, Willie Santiago of Topeka; twelve nieces and nephews; and ten grand-nephews and nieces. She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Frank Bedigrew; brother-in-law, John Groth; sister-in-law, Marilyn Bedigrew; and nephew, Toby Bedigrew.
Memorial services will be held at 2:00 P.M., Saturday, February 19, 2022, at the Toronto Christian Church with Pastor Elisha Rasmussen of the Toronto Christian Church officiating. Masks are required in the church. Inurnment will follow at Toronto Cemetery.
