Katelynn “Paige” Edmondson, formerly of Eureka, died on Monday, September 13, 2021 at Salina Regional Health Center, in Salina, at the age of 31.
She was born on May 4, 1990, in Wichita, the daughter of Joel and Sharyl Lynn (Evenson) Edmondson. She was raised in Eureka and graduated from Eureka High School with the Class of 2008. In 2010 she completed an associate degree at Vernon College in Vernon, Texas before enrolling at Wichita State University. She later earned a bachelor’s degree in Strategic Communication from WSU. She moved to Salina in 2017.
During High School, Paige competed in some of the biggest rodeo events all around the country. She qualified for the Kansas High School Finals four times, and the National High School Finals twice.
She is survived by her parents, Joel & Sharyl Edmondson of Eureka; sisters, Tonya Moreland of Kansas City, Missouri; and Holly Edmondson of Eureka; two nephews, River and Wacey; and long-time boyfriend, Allen Weber of Salina.
Graveside services will be held at 10:00 A.M., Friday, September 17, 2021, at Greenwood Cemetery, Eureka with Pastor Larry Evans of the Neal Evangelical Free Church officiating. A celebration of life will be held Saturday, October 2, 2021 at the Eureka Saddle Club Arena.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to the Kansas High School Rodeo Association, which will go to the Paige Edmondson Memorial Scholarship.
