Karen L. Wiggins, of Hamilton, died Thursday, August 24, 2006 at Greenwood County Hospital in Eureka, at the age of 59.
She was born on December 31, 1946, in Emporia, the daughter of Dwight and Betty (Martin) Handley, one of four children. She was raised in Wichita and attended local schools.
On June 4, 1964, she was united in marriage to James R. Wiggins, in Seattle, Washington.
She is survived by her parents, Dwight & Betty Handley of Wichita; husband, James Wiggins; five children, James Wiggins, Jr. of Springfield, Missouri; John Wiggins of Belle Plaine; Kathy Wiggins of Rosalia; Richard Wiggins of Hamilton; and Elizabeth Wiggins of Hamilton; six grandchildren; two brothers, Dwight Handley, Jr. of Belle Plaine; and Darrel Handley of Wichita; and one sister, Ann Wright of Lexington, Oklahoma.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Jean.
Graveside services will be held at 2:00 P.M., Saturday, August 26, 2006 at Greenwood Cemetery, in Eureka. Viewing hours will be from 10:00 A.M. to 1:00 P.M., at Koup Family Funeral Home, Eureka.
