Juanita Louise Griswold

Juanita Louise Griswold of Augusta, died on Monday, August 30, 2021, at Homestead of Augusta, at the age of 83.
She was born on February 2, 1938, in Laverne, Oklahoma, the daughter of Joseph Hiram and Inez Corrine (White) Smith. She was raised on the family farm at Laverne and graduated from local schools.
On January 25, 1956, Juanita was united in marriage to Charles Lilburn Griswold, in Oklahoma. They made their home in Oklahoma and later Kansas. To this union, three children were born. She was a catalog manager for J.C. Penney. Charles preceded her in death on December 20, 1991.
Juanita is survived by three children: Dianna Griswold of Oklahoma; Richard Griswold of El Dorado, Kansas; and Donald Griswold of Florida; nine grandchildren: Heather Ostrander, Jeff Cardwell, Angela Catlett, Josh Catlett, Shannon Reed, Daniel Griswold, Holly Gard, Allan Walker, and Carrie Cheek; thirty-one great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; and one brother, James Brandley and wife, Deann Smith of Shawnee, Oklahoma. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Linda Sue Griswold and eight siblings: Nellie Morgan, Joseph Smith, Clifton Smith, John Smith, Patricia Harper, Shirley Jones, Terry Smith, and Karen Huckabay.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M., Friday, September 3, 2021, at Lakecrest Bible Baptist Church in Augusta, with Pastor Robert Nugen officiating. Cremation will be effected following the service.
