Juanita Curley
Juanita Faye Curley of Eureka, died on Sunday, June 8, 2014 at Galichia Heart Hospital in Wichita, at the age of 74.
She was born on April 9, 1940, in Woodward, Oklahoma, the daughter of Oscar L. and Millie Marie (Hermanel) Howland. At a young age the family moved to Wichita where Juanita was raised and attended local schools. After graduating high school she lived in various places in Kansas and Missouri.
She worked as an LPN for many hospitals and nursing homes and was a member of the Prince of Peace Pentecostal Church of Eureka.
She is survived by two sons, Alan Sickles of Eureka; and John Sickles of Eureka; and one daughter, Kathy Flemister of Eureka; five grandchildren; and two brothers, Delbert Howland of Wichita; and Wesley Howland of Clearwater. She was preceded in death by her parents and three husbands.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M., Thursday, June 12, 2014 at Koup Family Funeral Home, in Eureka with Pastor Larry Moore of the Eureka Community Church officiating. Interment will follow at Greenwood Cemetery. Visitation hours are from 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M., Wednesday, at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that memorials be made to the American Heart Association. Contributions may be sent in care of Koup Family Funeral Home, P.O. Box 595, Eureka, KS 67045, which was in charge of service arrangements.
