Jennifer Ivy Freed of Eureka, KS died in her sleep on Sunday night, February 10, 2013 at her home in Eureka at the age of 35.

She was born in Enumclaw, WA, on February 19, 1977, the daughter of Stephen and Diana Randall. She grew up in Northern Washington near Mt. Rainier. Her family moved to Toronto, KS when she was 19. She wanted to come and see a firefly. She worked for Arnold’s Greenhouse in Leroy.

Jennifer spent two years of her life in full time ministry helping others to learn about “The Good News of The Kindgom” that Jesus taught while he was on earth. She gave of her time and energy as much as her health allowed. She was baptized as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses on November 28, 1992.

On January 17, 1998 she was united in marriage to Jamie Freed at a beautiful ceremony in Winfield, KS, officiated by their dear friend Rick Finley. They made their home in Winfield for a few wonderful years before moving to Eureka in 2001. For a while in Eureka, Jennifer worked at the Eureka Greenhouse.

In addition to helping others learn about the Bible, she spent her spare time making custom jewelry, painting beautiful watercolors, intricate pencil sketches, delicate scarves and other unique creative works of art. She would often provide these as gifts to family and friends. She was a cherished wife, daughter, aunt, friend, and was a gentle, caring person who was a fine example of Christian love in action. Her faith in Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior will provide comfort for all who loved her so dearly.

She is survived by her husband, Jamie Freed of the home; parents, Stephen and Diana Randall of Eureka; sister, Randalee DePoppe of Eureka; nephews, Zac, Skyler, and Ben DePoppe and nieces, Rachel and Tavin Freed, and Jazelle Denton who were as precious to her as her own children.
