Jayne Dianna Knight, of Climax, died at Wesley Medical Center in Wichita on Friday, October 17, 2003, at the age of 18.
She was born in Russell, Kansas on March 1, 1985, and was raised in the Climax and Eureka areas. Jayne attended Eureka schools as well as being home schooled. She was in the eleventh grade.
She is survived by her parents, Lisa and Kris Brown of Climax; one brother, Robbie Knight of Oklahoma; one step brother, Kory Brown of Eureka; two sisters, Tshanda Wheeler of Wichita and Becky Jones of Eureka; one step sister, Delana Thomas of Scottsdale, Arizona; and her grandparents, Carol Edwards of Hamilton; Dianna Ross of Moran; and Hazel Brown of Eureka.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M., Tuesday, October 21, 2003, at the Koup Family Funeral Home, with Reverend Audie Thornburg of the Prince of Peace Pentecostal Church officiating. Interment will follow in Greenwood Cemetery.
A memorial has been established in her name to the Jayne Knight Spina-Bifida Fund for Service Dog Assistance. Contributions may be sent in care of the funeral home.
