Jaime E. Chase died December 31, 2003 at Wesley Medical Center in Wichita, Kansas.
She was born November 9, 1911, in Eureka, Kansas, the only child of Eva Evans Alter and James P. Alter.
Jaime graduated from Emporia State University and taught English in the Eureka school system before her marriage to Carl C. Chase. After her marriage, she worked in her husbands law firm.
She had been very active in the Babson Midwest Memorial Foundation, Eureka Carnegie Library, Utopia Church, the Christian & Congregational Church, and Alterian.
She is survived by many students, friends, and neighbors.
Per the decedent’s wishes, a private memorial service will be held at a later date.
Memorials have been established with the Eureka Carnegie Library and the Babson Midwest Memorial Foundation.
