Jacqueline (Simmons) Sharp, 80, of Eureka, Kansas, passed away Thursday, May 25, 2006, at the Greenwood County Hospital. A private family viewing was held at Koup Family Funeral Home in Eureka.
She was born to Louis A. and Grace B. (Matthews) Simmons, on December 31, 1925, in Eureka.
She was united in marriage to Clifford C. Sharp on December 22, 1950 in Bentonville, Arkansas. They made their home in Eureka where Jacqueline worked as a cook in area nursing homes.
She is survived by her husband, Clifford of the home, daughters, Sierra Young of Wichita, and Prudence Kathleen Nimmo of Eureka, sons, Danny L. Sharp of Eureka, Donald D. Sharp of Rosalia, David C. Sharp of Toronto, and Dwayne R. Sharp of Rosalia, brothers, David M. Simmons of Vancouver, Washington, and Robert D. Simmons of El Dorado, sisters, Betty Jean Dill of Longview, Washington, and Connie Hampton of Tucson, Arizona, and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, brother, Louis A. Simmons, Jr., sister, Jolene Brown, and daughter, Candy Sue Fry.
The family requests no flowers. Memorial donations may be made to the American Diabetes Association or the Greenwood County Hospital. Donations may be sent in care of the funeral home, at P.O. Box 595, Eureka, Kansas 67045.
