Isabell Wade
Isabell Wade of Eureka, died on Friday, November 29, 2013 at the Greenwood County Hospital, in Eureka, at the age of 89.
She was born on July 18, 1924, in Richmond, Oklahoma, the daughter of Isaac Alfred and Rosebell (Coaker) Richardson. Her parents passed away when she was young and she was raised by her brother, Hubert in Henryetta, Oklahoma, where she attended local schools. Isabell was a home health care provider and worked at the Lyndon nursing home, Eureka Medicalodge, and Eureka Prairie Hills Nursing Home for 26 years.
On March 26, 1942, Isabell was united in marriage to Marvin Merwin Lyon in El Dorado. They made their home in Eureka. To this union, three children were born. Marvin preceded her in death on November 15, 1982. On July 15, 1989, Isabell was united in marriage to Lyle Willis “Shorty” Wade in Piedmont. They made their home in Eureka. He preceded her in death on November 9, 1998.
She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church.
Isabell is survived by five grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by her parents; husbands; daughters, Karen Sue Wade, and Carol Jean Drake; son, Roger Lee Lyon; three brothers, Thomas Hubert Richardson, Clifford Richardson, Bufford Richardson; and one sister, Wynema Gunsolas.
Graveside services will be held at 11:00 A.M., Wednesday, December 4, 2013 at Piedmont Cemetery, with Father Steve Gronert of Sacred Heart Catholic Church officiating.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that memorials be made to the Greenwood County Cancer Support Group. Contributions may be sent in care of Koup Family Funeral Home, P.O. Box 595, Eureka, KS 67045, which was in charge of service arrangements.
