Howard D. Chambers, 84, of Loveland, Colorado passed away September 20, 2006 at a local nursing home.

He was born January 25, 1922 in El Dorado, Kansas to Arthur F. Chambers and Lydia Longnecker Chambers. He married Pearl Lavina Butler on September 8, 1946 in Augusta, Kansas.

He enlisted in the U.S. Army Air Force on October 3, 1942 and served during World War II. He was honorably discharged on February 7, 1946. He worked for Mobil Pipeline Company as an electrical supervisor for 38 years, retiring in 1985. He enjoyed woodcarving, cabinet making, and reading.

He is survived by his sons, Daniel K. Chambers and wife Arlene of Northglenn, Colorado; Robert L. Chambers of Ft. Collins, Colorado; stepsons, Alden Max Lowe and wife Elizabeth Gail of Hereford, Arizona; Ronald M. Lowe of Wichita, Kansas; grandchildren, Micah Chambers of Denver, Colorado; Jessica Chambers of Northglenn, Colorado; sister-in-law, Iola Chambers of Eureka, Kansas.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Pearl Lavina Chambers; brothers, Robert Chambers; Harold Chambers; and a sister, Margaret Gray.

Funeral service, today, Friday, September 22, 2006, 10:30a.m., Loveland Good Samaritan Village Spiritual Life Center, Pastor Jonathan Wetlind officiating. Viewing at the Spiritual Life Center prior to service time. Interment, Greenwood Cemetery, Eureka, Kansas.
